The Pathways series is produced by The Ohio State University National East Asian Languages Resource Center with funding from the U.S. Department of Education. These publications provide language-specific resources for language programs and teacher training in less commonly taught languages.
Antonia Folarin-Schleicher is Professor of African Languages and Linguistics. She is Director of the National African Language Resource Center (NALRC), President-Elect of the National Council of Organizations of Less Commonly Taught Languages (NCOLCTL), and Immediate Past-President of the African Language Teachers Association (ALTA). She teaches courses in Yoruba language and culture, African linguistics, and second language acquisition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Lioba Moshi is Director of the African Studies Program and the African Languages Program at the University of Georgia. She is also Associate Professor in the University of Georgia's Linguistics Program and Comparative Literature Department. She teaches courses in language, gender, and culture; discourse analysis; linguistics; and Swahili. Her major research interests include discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, and the pedagogy of African languages.
